I am Beverley - aka MOTHERSLOAD I HAVE 3 miracles.... MY SONS! What hurts me most-mentally about having Lupus is not being able to go to their Hockey games (to cold) and their football/soccer/baseball games (to much sun) or physically just being to tired to go. I have been in flares off and on for a few years now and just trying to maintain some facet of a life. So I have HOBBIES - Many.... I have Lupus and have learned many things throughout life since I was diagnosed in 1987. It took 9 yrs of SYMPTOMS & over a year of NEGATIVE test results to Diagnose me after I had to have my SPLEEN removed from a disorder they call: ITP -Idiopathic {Don't know how you got it} Thrombocytapenia {Having to do with Blood} Purpura {Red Dots} When All along - IT WAS LUPUS I have done many things and am not ready to lay down and play dead just yet. Lupus is chronic but- doesn't have to mean your dying anytime soon ! So enjoy each day like its your last. I decided to learn Guitar, Web Design and a few years ago took an interest into STAINED GLASS I used to sing, play guitar and write songs. But now because of a Hiatus Hernia and Lupus I can't even talk let alone play with the arthritis. I had a stroke in 94 that slowed me down alot. I was in a Celtic Band for a While. I have a CD from 1997 as MY OWN Music was a big part of my life. I host an Open Stage every summer for 12 yrs now (Last three with the help of other hosts). I used to do alot of things in my kitchen so check it out. There are ALL of my favorite TRIED AND TESTED Recipes there for your taste temptations . |
