are inexpensive and sure to be a hit with the kids.
Apple Crisp (without Oatmeal) 350
for 30-35 min -
6 apples
(cored & sliced) in ungreased 9x9 Pan
1/4 c. Cinnamon Sugar (sprinkles over apples)
TOPPING
- (mix
with fork and sprinkle over apples after cinnamon sugar)
3/4 c. Brown Sugar
1/2 c. Flour
2 tblsp. Marg.
Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies 350
for 10 min.
1 Egg 1/4 tsp.
salt
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 c.White Sugar 1 c. Flour
1/2 c. Marg
(Chefmaster/green***)
1/4 c. Brown
Sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. Choc.Chips
Mix wet ingred,
then add dry ingred., then add choc chips.
Drop cookies. I always make 5 batches (5X this) and
sometimes add a cup of quick rolled oats. They will not look
quite done. to be chewey
Hot Milk Cake (with Toasted Coconut
topping)- 350 for 20min
Batter:
<>1/2 c. Milk + 1
tblsp butter (melted)
2 Eggs
1 c. W. Sugar
1 c. Flour
1 tsp.
Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 tsp.vanilla
1/2 tsp. LEMON Extract
Mix together and Bake in 9 X 9 pan.(white looking top)>
TOPPING
5 tblsp. Butter, 5 tblsp.Brown Sugar, 3 tblsp milk,1/2 c. Coconut
Mix. and pour on top of cooled cake and toast under broiler till brown
Coffee Cake 375 for
25-30 min.
1 Egg (Beaten till frothy)
3/4 c. Sugar
1/2 c. Butter (melted)
1/2 c. Milk
1tsp. Vanilla
1 1/2 c. Flour
2 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Mix together and pour half into a
greased and floured Bunt Pan
STREUSEL
1/2c. Brown Sugar
2 tblsp. Soft Butter
2 tblsp. flour
1 tsp cinnamon
Sprinkle half
this mixture onto the batter and repeat batter,
then streusel alternating till done

Ginger Bread 350
for 10 min.
1/2
c. Sugar
+ 1/2 shortening
2 1/2c. Flour
1/2 c. Light colored Molasses
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1 Egg 1/2tsp. Baking Powder
Then:
1 tsp. Ginger
.........1
1/2 tsp. cloves
..........1
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
Mix into big ball (with hands) and chill. Bake on floured cookie
sheets. (use 1/2"-3/4" cutters
Banana Bread 350 for
50 min.
1 c. Sugar
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 c. Butter
2 tsp. Baking Powder
2 Eggs
1 1/2 c. Flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c.Bananas (Oldest/Blackest rotting ones/skinned)
Mix Wet ingred. . Alternate Dry ingred. + Bananas
Bake in Greased loaf Pans filled 3/4 full
EZ Shortbread Cookies 350
for 8 min.
1 LB Butter
2 c. Flour
1 c. Icing Sugar
1c. Corn Starch
Mix together , roll out and cut 1/2" - 3/4" thick
They look light in color but brown around bottom edges
Old Fashioned Donuts FRY

Eggs (Beaten)
4 c. flour
1.c Sugar
1/4 tsp. B. Soda
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. Sour Milk
4 tsp. B.Powder
1/4 c. shorting (melted)
(Sour Milk is 1 1/4 c. milk + 1/8 c. vinigar...let sit for 10-15 min.)
Mix and Cut 1/2" - 3/4" thick
MAPLE FUDGE- SOFT
BALL STAGE
1 c. White Sugar
2 c. Brown Sugar
1 c. Milk
* Bring to Boil on MED-HIGH
(Soft Ball Stage on Candy thermom.)
Stirring Continuously for sometimes 30 min.(don't let burn)
* Then remove from heat and stir in
2 tsp. Vanilla
3 tblsp. butter (not marg.)
Keep stirring till thickens. pour into buttered 9 x 9 pan to set.
(Soft Ball without thermom) Drop 1/2 tsp. in cold water -
if falls to bottom and you can pick it up and roll into a ball the palm
of hand, it's ready to take of heat and add vanilla, butter and stir
ALOT. :)

Pancakes- Fry till golden
1 BEATEN Egg
1 1/4 c. Flour
1 1/3 c. Milk (Sour)
2 tblsp. W. Sugar
1 tblsp.veg. oil
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Baking Soda
(Sour Milk is 1 1/4 c. milk + 1/8 c. vinigar...let sit for 10-15 min.)
Mix
wet ingred. then add dry ingred. using milk alternately
