It's Alright
3:10 - This is me trying to see thru the eyes
of a single parent child. It's not easy, But IT'S ALRIGHT, my
son
told me one night.
*MP3*
IT'S
ALRIGHT
(Rock in Dm)
I wake up cryin' in the middle of the night
But your not there to hold me tight
I'm a boy and I'm a man, fate brings me this fight
But you know what Man - * * * * * - IT'S ALRIGHT
CAUSE I'M NOT GONNA LET IT HURT ANYMORE
I'LL BE THERE WHEN YOU WALK OUT THAT DOOR
TO PICK UP THE PIECES LEFT BEHIND
YOUR A PART TIME 1/2 IN THIS FULL LIFE OF MINE
I may be little, but I
still need you
Where
do
I call when I'm
feelin' blue
Why do
you to walk away
from me too
Even
though you get to
do the things you wanna do
(BRIDGE) Why is it me who pays the price every time
For a
part time 1/2 in
this full time life
I'm your boy and mama's man, fate brought me this fight
But you know what man * * * * * -IT'S ALRIGHT
CAUSE I'M NOT GONNA LET IT HURT ANYMORE
I'M WHO STAYS WHEN YOU WALK OUT THAT DOOR
I PICK UP THE PIECES THAT YOU LEAVE BEHIND
YOUR A PART TIME 1/2 IN THIS FULL LIFE OF.
I'M NOT GONNA LET IT HURT ANYMORE
I'LL BE THERE WHEN YOU WALK OUT THAT DOOR
I'VE PICKED UP THE PIECES THAT YOU LEFT BEHIND
Reality for me - is this life of mine

Stars In The Sky 4:06 This song
has a
great electric lead in it by: Pat Hood. My Grampa Hitchins died in the
middle of writing this C.D.. This song is about how I deal with
it.
STARS
IN THE SKY
(slow Ballad in A) #7 on CD
Got a call from my Dad the other day
He said, " your Grandfather has passed away
I said: " I Love You Dad ", and GOODBYE
I broke down and I cried.....
Just a week ago I saw you last
and
I knew when I left your side
It wouldn't be long till you'd be gone,
my
feelings I had to hide
But I can't hide em anymore,
I'm
crying silent wet tears
Your not here and again I'm facing
one
of my biggest fears
BUT YOU'LL BE EASY TO FIND,
THE BRIGHTEST STARS IN THE SKY,
TO WATCH OVER US AT NIGHT,
SO EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT.
IT JUST DOESN'T FEEL TOO GOOD
TONIGHT
%......
So,
I'll think of the achievements,
not
the loss of another good mans life
& the Families you created,
I'm
so proud to be a part of
You believed in alot of things,
and
one of them was me
We're sure gonna miss you Grampa,
now
that you are free
BUT YOU'LL BE EASY TO FIND,
THE BRIGHTEST STARS IN THE SKY
TO WATCH OVER US AT NIGHT,
SO EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT.
I'm really missin' all the stars in my life,
till
again we sometime meet
YOUR EASY TO FIND,
THE BRIGHTEST STARS IN THE SKY
WATCHIN' OVER US,
WATCHIN' OVER US THROUGH THE NIGHT %
This song is dedicated to
ALL the STARS in the SKY!

Tweed/97
2:08 I went to Trudeau Park in Tweed in 1997 year for the May
24
weekend (like a mini Woodstock). The song is about everyone who played
and what I experienced. This is the ONLY song on the CD that has me
Playing my 12 string Takamine. Unfortunately the beginning of the song
was cut off by the guy I had recording it at the time..(What not to do
when recording...) The Trudeau's invited me to perform it in
May/98. Wide Mouth
Mason was
there again (Check out the song,
they're in it - I met them :) - I also wrote Tweed/98 when I got home
(Soon to come :)
TWEED/97
(Fast/Celtic in
D)
We set out early sunset on a rainy day in May
Headin' for a long weekend and the costs you have to pay
Straight down Highway 7 to a place called Maberley
To take #3 to safety before our journey to Tweed
We didn't meet Elvis, He was obviously in disguise
Over 5000 people and no sight of him inside
We did see 5440, had to take a break
Caught some Z's, then we saw that Jeff was really great
But when Wide Mouth Mason entered left stage door
Gettin' through the crowd was a pushy chore
They were dancin', singin', screamin for more
Amanda and Big Sugar Sunday evens the score
Met 2 of 3 stooges Arno, Bob and Dwayne
Gave us new meaning to driving four wheels all-terrain
Your in and your out and your up and your down
If the wipers don't cut it your stuck in the ground
Sippin' on wobbly pops, U.F.O.'s and Shark Attacks
Smokin' at all angles, forward and back
Gettin to the can was a two hour excursion
With these New Ground Explorers and their many diversions
It was a long weekend in
May that we'll never forget
97
was the year
that we all
met
War wounds heal so tattoos were our best bet
& We can honestly say it was the best Tweed yet
This
was
released in Tweed in
May 1998

State of Emergency/Ice Storm/98 (BEGINNING OF SONG AND PICS)*NEW*
WAVE SAMPLE 3:13 - This is a
powerful song on Keyboard - Mike Wood - (Circuit)
).
Mike and
I got together, he
played , I sang it and it was recorded spontaneously - Now
were
learning it. It was one of those songs that just happened,
much
like the storm it depicts. This is a song full of respect for
life.
State of Emergency/Ice Storm/98 (END OF SONG AND PICS) It's
also a
big THANK YOU to ALL...(like I) who tasted
Discomfort, and gained in Knowledge.

STATE
OF EMERGENCY/ICESTORM/98-
Written
By:Beverley

Everybody's
got a story 'bout Ice storm/98
Worst one of the century, Eastern Canada's in a state.
Many Lives were lost in the cold of the night
Days
and then weeks by candlelight
We
and the trees pay for our NEGLECT
Mother
Nature made a point we'll never forget
Declaration
of a STATE OF EMERGENCY
Glacial
warnings continue
stress
and fatigue engulf me.
The
night it all began, January 5th was the date
Powerless
& isolated asked to evacuate
Proud
people gather at Shelters in every Town
Hypothermia
sews the seeds of this humble frown
Crews
and Troops flock from neighboring lands
Volunteers
sworn in by the thousands
To
join in the freezing battle of restoration
Just
to get some heat and refrigeration
(IRONIC
ISN'T IT?)
I
Can't sleep, I can't eat
I
won't leave, I'd rather resist
My
Phones down, T.V.'s out, Radio's dead
have
ya got the gist ?
How
am I- Cold but Fine
I'll
scratch your back and you scratch mine
Aware
that HEAT's a CONVENIENCE not a RIGHT
A
little more warning might have been nice
Generators
are so few and far between
Nothin'
like this ...
have
Canadians ever seen....
Hydro's
coming on and none too soon
Phones back now and
T.V 's too
Stand in line to get
compensation from
Ice
storm '98's devastation
In a hectic world of greed and
need
Comfort is to ask and then to
receive..
Life
is returning back to normal
Thank You All - Power back
to the
people -
Dedicated
to ALL of you in Ontario, Quebec,
The Maritimes and parts of the USA, who ( like I)
tasted
Discomfort,
and gained in Knowledge
